Thuthukani Special School’s management team consist of the Principal, 2 Deputies, 5 Departmental Heads and 3 Senior Therapists.
The SMT meet on a daily basis to discuss the day-to-day running of the school, ensuring that all departments in the school work as one unit towards the goals of the school. Each team member leads and manages her team with professionalism and the vision to positively change the lives of learners.
The SMT oversee curriculum delivery, staff development, learner matters, discipline, whole school development, extra-curricular activities, projects and more. They report to the Principal, who links the school, the SGB, the community and the Department of Education as partners in education.
The SMT is a team of dedicated and skilled professionals who hold the school, learners and staff in the highest regard. Each of the decisions made by the SMT is measured against the question” Is our decision in the interest of the learners and staff in our school?”
