Horse-riding

Day Spring Farm donates an opportunity for a group of children with cerebral palsy and a group of children with Autistic Spectrum Disorder to benefit from the therapeutic effects of riding and interacting with horses. The children with cerebral palsy show improved muscle tone, muscle strength, balance and general gross motor movements. Children with Autistic Spectrum Disorder show improved mood, better regulation of sensory input and ability to communicate after their interaction with the horses.
